Mary is Vice President of Product Development for Retention Education. She is responsible for new product and systems development and manages tutoring services for the Company. Mary has worked in the education technology industry for 15 years, both in the corporate and K-12 arenas. Prior to joining Retention Education, Mary worked for K12, Inc. a virtual education and curriculum company. As Director of Training and School Operations, she established the School Management department, ran the national training function, created the core processes that defined standard school operations, and directed new school startup in 12 states. Due to her efforts, the new school launch timeline decreased from 6 months to 6 weeks. Her experience includes time with other startups focused on e-learning and virtual tutoring. With eMind, an e-learning company focused on the financial/insurance industries, Mary led a re-design of the delivery platform and instructional design process. She also managed teacher training and VoIP tutoring services for the K-12 focused TopTutors.com. As an Education Consultant with Ernst & Young, she designed performance solutions and projected managed global ERP training implementations for Fortune 500 companies. While working with Hewlett Packard, Mary worked in Corporate Education’s Learning and Performance Engineering Group and was focused on performance improvement consulting. Her work with HP also included testing and deploying new technologies used for training and education. Mary has an MS in Instructional and Performance Technology from Boise State University, an MA in International Relations from Flinders University of South Australia, and a BA in Psychology from Loyola Marymount University.
